Of being fair as it equates beauty

Is it  proper to say that girls and guys that are fair are beautiful???

Does being fair in complexion automatically mean that person is beautiful???

Yesterday after the mass which I attended I took some time to study the ladies and guys that entered the church for the second mass and I was shocked to the teeth with the way some ladies have so toned their skin that they have the beauty and the beast look combo which made me almost screamed 'there is the Masquerade run for your life'

But let us look at it from this angle the likes of Desmond Elliot, RMD,  Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade, Chioma  Akpotha,  Mercy Johnson, Agbani Darego and even the foreign celebrities like Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Terrence Howard, Jussie Smollett, Rihanna,  Beyonce, Vivica fox, Oprah Winfrey, Taraji P Henson, Gabrielle Union just to mention a few are all blacks and they are proud of their skin colour plus they are beauties

For the ladies and guys that are towing this line, being fair doesn't make you beautiful except we might have to redefine what beauty means.

Being beautiful comes from inside and radiates on the outside like the sun that brings what it has inside to shine upon the world making everything colourful and adorable.

If you don't love the colour of your skin then why should someone call you a 'Pulchre'. If every now and then you use different skin-toning creams and soaps just to look fair and be regarded as beautiful then you are on a highway to depression. Beauty is not skin deep it is heart deep.

Beauty is not dependent so much on how you look and how you appear. It is dependent on how you feel about yourself and how you try to protect that person called self. Not destroying self so as to look like Mr A or Miss B.

I know society has caused some of this smokeless fire but should we continue to go by the social norm in a bid to be seen as 'normal' people thereby living an unhappy life.

In a nutshell black is beautiful. skin-toning is evil. If you ask me I would say be yourself and forget what anybody has said or would say about you. You are beautiful.

Happy birthday to me

And she called with her small still voice when the clock chimed 12:00am saying 'Steven are you still awake at this time of the day?

Rubbing my eyes with the back of my palm of my hands I replied 'Yes dearie' then followed a beautiful rhyme wishing me a happy birthday...

I was Awestruck because am not good at remembering friends birthdays and here is an adorable lady wanting to be the first to wish me a happy birthday. Lord am grateful.

Am grateful for the gift of life, health, shelter, family, Job, really good friends and family friends.

As I add one year to my years on earth,I  pray for  God's wisdom and may all who encounter me become better  than they were before.

What are you grateful for???

Apostle Paul is a liar!

As I woke up from a good nap a message from church popped up on my mind. My thoughts whispered to my thoughts :Is there any deserving of God's love? Is there anyone without sin?  Or has anyone kept the 610 laws in the Old Testament?
This questions kept resounding in my mind. I try to come up with rational response to this questions but I notice they all have loopholes.

And then it struck me "Grace" yes GRACE is the answer. Romans 3:23 stated not one is without sin. We have all sinned and deserve death as reward.

Since none wears the robe of holiness. I wonder why some Christians would want to assume the status of a judge over the mistake of another Christian. How do explain the awful condemnation of those who make conspicuous mistakes in life, say a pregnancy out of wedlock? Are we not sinners ourselves (Matt 5:28) How do we explain the treatment metted out to divorcees?  How do we justify the casting away of a brother in church due to issues of meddling with church offerings?
Some Christians are UNBELIEVABLE. They imagine themselves custodian of sanctity and purity in their various churches

Grace overwrites the law because according to the law we deserve death by hanging. It puts into consideration that we're humans capable of falling over and again. Grace says when we sin we should confess it and believe we're forgiven. But Grace doesn't license sin (Romans 6:1-2). This is because at the heart of the born thing is forgiveness of sins,  a fresh start and a new life form.

Grace is what gives us divine influence. This sacred revelation allows humanity to regenerate. It removes old layers of thought. It is where you can live your truth, through the sophistication of your soul overtime.

Grace is truly undeserving.
Be warned those of you calling Apostle Paul a liar by believing not everyone deserves a second chance.

What lies above

Sometimes I gaze at the starry skies
I stare at the sun
Trying to figure out what lies above

Is it an empty space?
Is it a planet filled with different creatures?
Is it a *heaven* clustered with godly beings?
Or is it just my mind playing tricks...

On a second look

A compass point towards that direction
A radiant light shines brightly
A magnificent edifice takes shape
Smiling faces of people seem to appear
Only to be met by a *heavy downpour*

The man in the mirror

Who is the man in the mirror?
Who is he trying to impress?
Who are those he wants to prove wrong?
Who is he trying to justify?

A girlfriend who disses him for another
A father whose believe is not sufficient enough for him to face his fears
A mother whose only one wish before leaving earth is to see him rise to 'stardom'
Sisters who are counting on him to be a high-flyer
Agemates who thinks he is an empty show,  a bluff and can amount to nothing.
Relatives who are just indifferent about him
Family friends who sees what he is to become and are 'Awe-struck'

What are his intentions?
His motives?
What even propels him towards his vision?

Is he true to his purpose?
His calling?
His God?
Is he even true to himself?

In the end we would realise someone was disappointed.
In the end we would realise we needed to please that person.

That person won't be deceived by our pretense.
He would stare us in the face with our evils in the palm of his hand.

The person we ought to impress is 'The man in the mirror'

Bruised but not broken

When the world unravels before you
When even your dreams are crumbling stones
When everything you dare to touch is set on fire and all around you is ash and smoke

Remember this...

Rock bottom is a perfect place for rebuild
Remember that you are your mother's son your grandmother's answered prayers.

A whole bloodline of women who bend and respond to raging winds. There is nothing broken,  nothing damaged or discarded, obscure as a badge of honour

Your smile is an act of defiance against the sun which mixed-up is a victory dance waiting to happen.

You are a man becoming, learning the complicated language of forgiveness, the intricate lesson of the universe.

Your heart is just a muscle waiting for exercise. And you were born for this sort of heavy-lifting. You were born one part SAINT,  one part warrior. Loving yourself without shame is the most important thing you ever have to fight for.
